Observations
Chillens was born out of a simple frustration - I was tired of thinking about what to post every day on Lens. The network was active, the tools were powerful, but the creative friction was real. So I built something fun to remove that friction entirely.
Idea & Motivation
The idea came directly from my own user pain. Sharing regularly on Lens Protocol felt like a chore, not because the protocol lacked functionality, but because most users - like me - didn’t know what to post. Chillens was designed to solve this creatively: a one-click tool to post AI-generated funny content on-chain. Simple, fast, and engaging.
Why Lens?
Lens is a modular, ZK-powered blockchain stack built for the future of on-chain social. As a Layer 2 using zkSync and Avail, it brings unmatched speed, affordability, and developer freedom, perfect for experimenting with playful, lightweight tools like Chillens.
It combines core primitives (Groups, Graphs, Feeds, etc.), powerful UX features (account abstraction, USD gas), and custom storage solutions to enable full-stack onchain apps. Chillens leverages this stack to interact natively with users’ identities and content.
AI Engineering & Product Design
The core engine of Chillens is powered by AI - but not just any model. I scraped over 300,000 Lens posts, filtered for tone and character count, and trained a model to remix the most popular posts into humorous, mocking, and meme-ready outputs.
The goal wasn’t perfection. It was experimentation to test AI's ability to mimic on-chain culture and reduce posting anxiety. The result: over 1,000 users tested the tool. It’s still live today, even though active development has paused.
Chillens proved that creativity in Web3 doesn’t always have to be serious. Sometimes, it just needs to be fun and shareable.
